My   favourite    author  is  Mr:martin  wickrama  sinha.    He  is  one  of   the   omost  talented  write  in  sri   lanka.   Every   school   going   chid   has   read   his    novel    mado.    lduwa.    his    style   of   writing   is   very   simpal.   any   person   can   enjoy   reading   his   books.    some   of   his   bocks   are   prize    winners.   his   bocks   are   very   good.   we    have   seen    madolduwa   and   gamperaliya   on  the   screeh.  some    of  his   others    books   are   viragaya   yugantaya   and  kaliyugaya.   he   is   a   writer   who   has   unders  tood   the   humana  nature   very    well.

The  rainbow   is   like  a  curved  bridge   laid   to   the   heaven.   oh   what  a   beautiful    sight?    It  appears   there  in  the  sky   for  a  short  time.   I  cannot   underst   and   what  happens    to  it   then   It  is  made  up   of  seven   colours.   I  tried  my   best  to    count   to   colours  in  the  rainbow.    They   are  red.     how   beautti  fully  arranged    and   set   in  the  sky  they    are.

There   are   many   wild   animals  in  forests.   the  tiger  the  wolf  the   elepahant  the  bear  the  de4er  and  the  wild   buffalo  are  few  of  them.    some  of  them   eat  leves  and  some  eat  the  flesh  of  other  small  animals.  We    can  see  these  animals  at  the  zoo.   they  are  kept  in  cages.  therefore  they  cannot  harmus.  the  animals  add  beouty  to  the  forests.  they  live  happily  whenthey  are  in  forests.  we  must  be  careful  when  we  enter  the  forests.

I   have   many  friend  and   helps  me  a  lot.   whnever   I  need  help  he   does   so   I  too   like   him  very  much.  I   feel    lonely   when    he   is  absent.    both  of  us  go  to  the    same   class.   some  times    we   share   our   food.   He  likes  to  eat   fruits  and   sweets.   both   of  us   grow   flowers  and  small   beautiful   plants  at  home.

The   buttefuly   is  able  to  fly.  It   has  two  beauti   ful  wings.   It  flies  from  flowers   to   flower  in  search  of  food.  It  drinks  ne  ctar  from    flowers.   there  are  of  rerious  colours  and  sizes.     It  is a  plea  sure  to  watch  them.   they   add   beauty  to  our   surround  ings.   there  are  many  about  butterfuls.    butter  flies  are  harmless.   Therefore  we  should  not   kill  them  or  catch  ithem   for  pleasure.

we  can   see  so  mand   birds  in  country.    Birds  are  very   beautifuls.   The   are  of  many   colours.   Red   blueg   reen   black, brown  and  white  are  among  them.   brids  have  small  legs.   they  can  fly.   the   parrot  and  the  mynah  can  talk.   birds  like  fuits.  they  live  in  jungles.   Ilike  all  birds.

My   smll   sister  is  still  a  baby.    she  drinks  milk  and   fruit  juice.   she  is  [playful  too.  she   can  speaka  few  words.  All  of  us  love  her   because  she  is  loving  and  char  ming.   My  father   brings  biscuits  and  toys  for  her.   we  look  after  her  when  mother  is  away.    we  can  play  with   her   when  she   grows    up. 

My  friend 9   name  is  w. Dilshan    chandrakantha.  He   is  14  years   old.  He   study  in  nikawewa   central  collage.    He  is   in  year  nine.   He  has  a  bicycle.    He   like  of  drink  fanta.   He  pet  name  is  sudu.    He  can  swim.    He   like  to  free  times  free  times.   He  do  read  book.   He  beet  friend  is   shehan   madusanka.   He  can  play  crictet.   He  is  tall.  He  can  run.     I   like  to  continue  friend  ship  with.

My   brother  is   very  small.   He  is  six   years  old.   He  is  grade  7-B.    I  love   my  brother   very   much.  He  likes  sweets   and   biscuits.  both  of  us  play  hide-and-seek   very  of  ten.    My  brother   has a  beautiful  toy  car.    My  uncle  gave  it  to  him  on  his  birthday.   awe   play  wich  it  to  ge  ther.

My  country  is  sri  lanka.  It  is a  small  is  land  in  the  Indian   ocean.there  many  commun  ities  such  as   sinhala  tamil  muslim  and  burgher  in  sri  lanka.   most  of  the  population   comsists  of  sinhala  people.   I   love   my  country  is  world  famous  though  it  is  very  sall.  we  have  a   glorious  history.   the  ruins  of  Anurathepupaya  and    polonnaruwa  andwell  known.  many  tourists  visit  these   places  of  in  terest.  colombo  is  the  capital  of  sri  lanka.  It  is a  famous  harbour  in  the  Eat.
